Tonight we went to a new little hang out that just opened close to our home. It is called FIIZ. I think its really similar to Swig. It pretty much is a drink and dessert bar. They have any kind of soda you can think off and every single kind of syrup add in.
Tanner was mostly excited about these peeps dipped in Chocolate.
Tanner and I both had a sprite zero with fresh Raspberry Puree and coconut. It was pretty good! Tanner did get his dipped peep too and just ate the head… Baylee got a sugar cookie but had a hard time liking it because the icing was blue and not pink. Brent got the PB cookie of course, I had a nibble of both and they were pretty great.
The Drink dude talked us into getting Bee a very special pink drink. She of course jumped at it.
This would be called the “Pink Poodle” It is Sprite with cotton candy syrup and topped with whip cream and pink sprinkles. She LOVED it. Talk about a sugar rush!
We came home and had a repeat of what we had last night, because left overs are always a go-to when you spend to much time at a drink shop and consume a little to much sugar.
Dinner totally made up for the sugar intake earlier. Right?
7 Tips to Beat Treadmill Boredom
Switch it up- Getting on a treadmill and staying at one pace for an hour is BORING.. Here are some tips to get you through it!
Add intervals- I actually love doing speed work on the treadmill in the form of tabatas. I will put the speed at 9 or 10 and sprint for 20 seconds then hop onto the side and rest for 10 and repeat for 30 minutes or more! I love how sweaty I get!
Add a little UPness- Even at a 3% incline will make a difference! Not to mention give a little extra work to those glutes and hammies. Making you more ready to tackle the pavement in the spring.
Adjust your speed- When I have long distance run and the treadmill is my best option I will usually start slow and every 5 minutes up the speed by 1.0 till I have reached my max speed that I can obtain for 5 minutes then work my way back down the later then back up till I have reached my mileage for the day. Works like a charm for the A.D.D in me.
Movie Cinema- My gym has a movie cinema and I have never really used it up until this winter and I have discovered I actually really like it! If there is a good movie on it is easy for me to zone out and get the work done.
Add variety- Is your problem just staying on the treadmill for a long period of time? Try adding in different exercises to make it like a circuit workout! This is one of my favorite things to do when I’m just not feeling the run that day.
Last but not least..
Run with friends: This is always my number one tip to running indoors and outdoors! Having someone to chat with, to push you and keep you on your game makes running so much fun and go by in a flash! We usually end up adding an extra mile or so just because we want to finish our conversations!
How do you beat treadmill boredom?
