Happy Monday!
It was 70 ish degrees on Halloween night which was perfect for trick or treating. Saturday we woke up to wind and colder temps.
Fall is finally here!
I have been going on walks mostly everyday but because of the strong wind and crappy air I decided to head to the gym to Saturday afternoon to get my walk in.
It was actually my first time leaving Roen. I felt so weird not having him with me.. but it was nice to just be kid free for an hour for the first time in 3 weeks. I ended up in the cardio cinema watching “The Help” during my walk. It helped with my Treadmill ADD and I was able to get a good 2 mile walk in before I got a phone call that Roen was hungry and headed back home.
We spent the rest of Saturday elaxing, getting some chores done around the house and of course smooching on the little one. Tanner and Baylee are still completely smitten by this little one.
Sunday was a special day for two reasons.
We celebrated the blessing of my sister Heathers sweet babies blessing. Thank goodness for daylight savings and getting that extra hour in the morning. Brent and I made it on time to 9 am church with three kids. We were pretty proud. Ha!
Meet my sisters!
Jessica, Heather and I.
After the blessing we headed to my sisters house for a little brunch. I helped set up by cutting fruit and muffins up but then spent the first hour of the party nursing Roen.
I came downstairs to this sweet sight. My grandma Hale, who turns 90 next month was reading to Baylee. Whenever we get to see grandma Hale you will find Bee right by her side.
After the shower we came home to celebrate Brents Birthday!
We didn’t have any family over or anything and just spent it with our little family.
I made a special dinner for Brent. We had Mahi-mahi, brown rice, veggies and a salad. Pretty simple but it was delicious. He is easy to please!
Whenever the kids need to get a little energy out we all head outside for a quick walk around the block. It was a bit chilly so it was a pretty quick trip around.
Brent requested pumpkin spice cookies for his dessert so I had Baylee and Tanner help me make them.
I snagged this Krusteaz Pumpkin Spice mix from Costco last year and decided to use the mix to make the cookies. There is a recipe for the cookies on the back.I added chocolate chips to it. There is also a recipe for the bread and pancakes!
In about 20 minutes we had our cookie “cake.”
They were delicious! We blew out the candle, opened a few presents and ended the night watching Harry Potter with the kids.
Happy Birthday Brent!
Now it is time to get this week started!!
I am getting a new niece today and couldn’t be more excited! I got word that she is at the hospital as we speak! I can’t wait to meet her!
Question of the day
What is your favorite kind of cookie?
