SAS, Run & Eat.

This morning I got to sleep in for a bit before getting the kids up and ready for the day. While I was waiting for them to stir I thought about  reading my book, and ended up scrolling instagram for 20 minutes before one of the twins got up.. Social media.. love to hate it sometimes.. I used to be so good at reading books and now, I get distracted to much to actually get into a book.

Breakfast was quick and we were all out the door and to GPP for the 9:30 class.

Todays workout included SAS. Not to be mistaken with swass.. HA! SAS is just the acronym for Single arm Snatch. I love snatches, we sometimes use dumbbells' or kettle bells. Today we used a BAR.

Honestly, I was really nervous about it at first, but after the first one I decided it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I surprised myself and was able to snatch #65 pounds. I could only do #65 in singles so I dropped to #55 to do 5 consecutively.

I’m feelin’ it already!

I also headed to the gym for a run! I am starting to schedule more runs into my week, I can’t hide from the cold forever, but today it was 14 degrees so I went into the cardio cinema to see if it would help fight the treadmill boredom.

I loved the movie Miss  Congeniality and it made the run go by so fast! I finished 5 miles in about 43 minutes.

Tonight was Brents Company Party so we got a babysitter and headed to the Lion House in SLC to meet everyone for dinner.

They brought out Salad and rolls, but I was chatting and didn’t snag a pic, the dinner was done buffet style. It was all so good! I haven’t had salmon for awhile and it hit the spot!

There was two choices for dessert: Cranberry Orange cheesecake and White Chocolate Raspberry mousse.

I had the mousse, but I kind of just ate the raspberries off the top of it…

It was like eating straight frosting.. so meh. I wasn’t a fan of it. But some people thought it made a great topping to the cheesecake. Ha!

We all brought a white elephant gift and played a fun game, passing and choosing each gift. I scored a pretty cool key finder by totes.  You whistle and it sets an alarm off. It then became a fun game to just randomly whistle during the party to set the alarm off.

Another Bement and Company Christmas party in the books!
