Christmas Traditions have been talked about quite a bit in our house. Brent and I are still working on establishing our Christmas traditions with our little family. We want to do things we did growing up, have fun with our kids and do things that show the true meaning of Christmas.
Here is a list that we want to do each Christmas.
We have been to Temple Square already, and we did try to go to Festival of Trees (Benefit for a local hospital) but it was crazy busy and parking was ridiculous so we passed.. next year we will go sooner.. and last night most of my family came over and made gingerbread men and gingerbread houses.
This is one of our fun family traditions we like to do every year.
Bee helped make the frosting! Then got right to work on her Gingerbread man!
My brothers, Jamison and Parker got pretty into their houses. I love hanging out with these studs!
I discovered boys don’t really care to decorate with lots of colorful candy… ha!
Tanner was so proud of his gingerbread man! We have discovered he is bit of a perfectionist. He wanted his gingerbread man just like the picture on the box.
Ps. If your wondering.. I bought the giant gingerbread men at Costco.
Here is mine.. my bag of frosting kind of exploded..
Sunday nights with my family are something I look forward to each week. It had been a few weeks since I last saw them due to Thanksgiving (We were with Brent’s family this year and my fam went to the cabin.) and they were out of town the week before too so it was a joyous reunion, minus my sister Jess and her husband and new babe. Heather was there at the beginning but had to leave before pictures.
What are some of your Christmas Traditions?
There are a lot of cheesy Christmas movies out there, which one is your favorite?
Mine is “The Christmas Story.”
