My Birth Plan

I have had a few people ask my about my plan on delivering my baby. I decided a post about it would be best.

First off, everyone has their own opinion. Please respect my decision. Each and every labor is different from another. Nobody has the same story. The body is amazing no matter how you choose to deliver. I honestly don’t think there is a pretty way either way. I do not think I would ever want to do a natural birth. That is just me though.

I had Tanner and Baylee via c-section due to several factors. Small pelvis, posterior baby #1 and twins. I wanted them here safe and sound and that is exactly how they came. I did go into labor on my own earlier in the day before and when we finally decided to go to the hospital at about 12:30 AM I was only dilated to a 2.The C-section it was and  T and B were born at 2:02 and 2:03 AM.

I had a wonderful experience and fully enjoyed my c-section with them. I had a great recovery and felt great. Which I know isn’t always the case with some.

My doctor is fabulous and I trust him completely. He thoroughly went through my options. He gave me the option to try for a VBAC this go around. I seriously thought about this option and decided that I would try for a VBAC (Vaginal birth after a c-section) if I went into labor on my own and was progressing and if baby was in perfect position for labor. He did remind me about my small pelvis and that it may be a long labor that may result in either a successful vaginal birth but does also have a possibility of a c-section.

I set a c-section date (THIS Friday!) and decided if I go into labor on my own and everything is peachy before then, then I will labor. If I hit Friday and babe isn’t here then a scheduled c-section is a-ok in my book.

I have been walking, running, burping, squatting, and lunging. Baby seems pretty content.

No matter what happens, my baby is my #1 priority and I want this baby to arrive healthy, safely and happy.

Cheers to a safe and healthy delivery!
