This week went by in a blur!
At the beginning of the week, I made a goal to go to bed at a decent time and wake up at 5am and get back into doing early morning runs again. Every night, I never got in bed before 11. So when my alarm would go off at 5 do you think I got up to run? Not a chance.
I did get a quick run on the oldest treadmill ever yesterday… but lets just say this week was a epic fail at early morning cardio.
I did get a workout in everyday this week but I miss the cool summer mornings!
There is always another Monday, right?!
Before heading to the gym I snacked on a banana and some NUTTZO!
This nut butter is AMAZING!
I won it at Blend and Its coming to an end already! I have got to get my hands on more of this stuff!
Todays workout at GPP was ROUGH
I’m not sure about you but I would much rather run 10 miles then do ONE mile timed. I push myself so hard I feel it in my throat for the rest of the day.
My hip has been bugging and now my left foot has plantar fasciitis, it wasn’t the easiest mile in the books. I wore my Mizuno Waveriders and my foot wasn’t actually even an issue. I could hardly feel it. It is just more of a morning thing.. Maybe another reason why my early morning runs failed..
I was able to do today’s mile in 6:53. Not a PR but I’m happy with it.
I was happy with my 500m row though! I got my last 500m row in 1:47. PR for me!
A lot of people today achieved a new PR. I love my job. When someone achieves a new goal that they previously thought was close to impossible, puts a smile on my face every time. Nothing is better.
I headed to Target after and picked up some bananas, kid clothes, and lip stick.
Look what I found!
VANILLA CHEX!
Has anyone tried it yet? It’s delicious.
We spent the afternoon out in the backyard playing soccer and splashing around in our dragon pool or filling up cups and containers and pouring them on each other..
I couldn’t get the twinners to look at me for 2.2…
And picking weeds that we avoid trimming weekly…
Tonight there was a fun car show on Main Street. It is called “Coats for Kids.” It is a charitable event that is sponsored by the Bountiful Rotary Club. You can read more about it here.
My cousins were there with their kids, so we watched the burn out contest together. Inhaled lots of rubber and ate large amounts of corn.
If you are wondering what the burnout contest is, It is a competition to see who can hold their brakes and press the gas and make the most smoke contest. Kinda red neck. But we like it.
The car at :53 is my FIL car!
Bee got to sit in a race car. Tanner was shy for some reason and decided he wanted nothing to do with it.
He did enjoy the corn though!
On the way back to the car we passed the park and the twins REALLY wanted to play.
Nothing like a little park time to get rid of any energy!
Tomorrow, Ill be doing GPP in the morning, Body pump then its off to a family reunion.
Be jealous.
Great start of the weekend!!
See y’all tomorrow!
Have you been to a burn out contest?
